About Bob Kantar
I have been in practice as an educational consultant for 29 years and
have helped hundreds of clients attain their personal goals and aspirations.
I am committed to providing clients with a wide range of options to assist
them in meeting their educational and career goals. I am able to do this
by carefully assessing each client’s individual circumstances and working
with them to create a plan that best suits their needs and personal interests.
I am committed to the success of all of the individuals I assist.
My educational background includes a BA in History from Brandeis University,
MA in Education from Tufts University, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies
in Educational Administration from the University of New Hampshire. I
have been certified in the state of Massachusetts and New Hampshire as
a social science teacher, guidance counselor, and principal.
Professionally I have served in a number of different capacities all lending
to my strength as an educational consultant. I have worked within the
public school setting as an educator, principal, and guidance counselor.
In the private school setting I have served as a head of school for an
emotional growth boarding school. At the college level I have worked as
an admission’s officer and assistant dean of students. I have also worked
as a consultant for many private and public educational agencies.
I have served on a number of boards and been actively involved in community
service throughout my adult life. Most recently I have served as board
member for Haven Wood Heritage Heights, a Concord, NH retirement community.
I am also an advocate for children who are at risk and served by Children’s
Services.
As a founding member of Independent Educational Consultant Association
(1974), I am dedicated to the organizations principles of ethics. I have
traveled throughout the United States visiting colleges, private schools
and special needs programs. I have facilitated workshops and published
literature.
I have been happily married for 40 years. I have two sons; one is a wildlife
biologist and the other a financial planner. The latter is married and
has two children. I am an avid fisherman, walker and outdoor enthusiast.
My hobbies include raising dogs, writing, boating, and photography.
My primary purpose, as an educational consultant, is to help clients achieve
their goals. I offer my services in a relaxed and supportive environment.
I am thorough in my evaluation process and work collaboratively with the
client during the decision making process. The greatest reward offered
for my efforts is the success of my clients.
