Career Planning
For many years, Educational Resources has helped adults define and implement career plans. It is aimed at assisting in any of the following situations:
- A senior in college or a recent college graduate. (Graduate School planning is included as a full program similar to our college-planning package)
- A school dropout from either high school or college
- Divorced individuals entering or returning to the job market
- An individual changing career lines from one occupation to another
- An individual developing a job search and in need of constructing a résumé and a plan for the search
- A person needing support for entering the job market after overcoming illness or recovering from a personal crisis
The primary purpose of career planning is to assist people in examining their options based upon their history, records, résumé, education, interests, family obligations, aspirations and economic goals. We are interested in motivating clients, increasing self-esteem, and developing career options.
Educational Resources will help individuals develop résumés, plan a job search strategy, critique and develop interview skills, assist in the development of a marketing plan, provide advice on educational options, and direction in attainment of career goals.
The extent of our service to individuals varies so widely that we recommend a one-time consultation to discuss your needs and our program. If possible, self-directed inquiry will be encouraged, with the option of additional consults on an hourly basis as needed. In those cases in which our full program is advantageous, a package price will be recommended with the consultation fee being applied toward the full fee.
Educational Resources does not replace the services of a therapist and does not provide a program of psychotherapy for clients.
Educational Resources is not an employment agency nor is it affiliated with any employment agency.
